Every new start of the year brings one of the toughest challenge on earth - Dakar Rally. Held in Saudi Arabia, it touches everyone worldwide - from young guns to elderly. Data-Driven, Automated...What?
By now you already have seen these words quite a few times. Yet, what it actually means? In simple terms:
- Retrieval of statistical information X, in this case - results of the Dakar Daily Special Stages;
- Processing X to have a meaningful set of data Y - extract relevant information from results;
- Processing Y with a program to build design Z - interpreting the data into visuals;
- Generating N social media output files.
Its an X-Y-Z process, which leads to finished output files. Eventually it allows to take strings and numbers from text file and build dynamic videos, which adapts based on those tiny bits of information. Thats as easy as it is, yet as complex as it might can get. More information to come!
